About event

This is Event Session 1 on November 2nd from 6pm to 9pm AI changes the game, so what’s next? This is something we ponder as we watch the entire scientific and mathematical universe get shaken up by these new tools we call LLM’s. What it means to program has changed. The trade-offs, the assumptions, the rules that for many years stood for good reason all need a re-think. What things are still true about software engineering and what things change? What should compilers look like now that humans aren’t maintaining the code? What should code look like? How can we design and equip ourselves for the future with new chip architectures and technologies like spatial fabrics, 3D stacking on chips, photonics and photonic interconnect, statistical computing, and in the future diamond quantum superconducting chips. How can we engineer a future that spurs innovation and technological progress? This working group meets in person in the Bay Area the first and third Monday of each month to figure out the answers to these questions. We believe these questions are fundamentally important for the future of humanity, in order to usher in a future of abundance we must spur technological progress and encourage healthy competition in the ecosystem. Event Session 2 will be held November 16th at 6pm - 9pm on Stanford’s campus.
