About event

Join Microsoft and Elastic for an in-person build lab where theory translates directly into functional software. In this hands-on, instructor-led workshop, you will step beyond conversational interfaces to architect, configure, and deploy next-generation autonomous agentic systems. Bring your laptop as we will ship the code together. Azure and Elastic lab environments will be provided. Who Should Attend: Software Developers, AI/ML Engineers, Cloud Architects, and Security Professionals interested in building secure, production-ready AI applications Agenda:

  • 5:30pm~6:00pm: Checkin, Food and Networking
  • 6:00pm~8:00pm: Hands-on workshop
  • 8:00pm: Open discussion and Mixer Hands-on Workshop: Context Quest: Optimizing AI Agents with Microsoft Foundry and Elastic Context Engine Speaker: Peter Laudati, Principal Partner Solution Architect at Microsoft Jeff Vestal, Senior Principal AI Architect Abstract: In this hands-on workshop, you'll connect a Microsoft Foundry agent to Elasticsearch data using the Model Context Protocol (MCP), then use Elastic Context Engine to optimize your agent's performance and token usage. Build an AI Index with Knowledge Indicators that lets your agent navigate multiple data sources with fewer discovery calls, then compare token usage, answer accuracy, and latency to deliver grounded, explainable answers. Prerequisite:
  • Fully charged laptop
  • Basic coding skills
  • Python and AI/ML knowledge are helpful.
