About event

What can Canada's innovation ecosystem learn from Silicon Valley's approach to corporate venture capital, and where does Canada have an opportunity to chart its own path? Plug and Play brings together corporate leaders, venture investors, and ecosystem builders for an interactive conversation connecting perspectives from Canada and Silicon Valley. Together, we'll explore how corporations are leveraging venture investment to accelerate innovation, create strategic value, and gain access to emerging technologies. The discussion will also examine how Canadian businesses can embrace corporate venture capital, the role startups play in driving innovation, and how these partnerships can strengthen Canada's position in the global innovation landscape. Expect an engaging exchange of ideas, fresh perspectives, and candid conversations about what it will take to unlock the next generation of corporate venture opportunities in Canada.

The evening will feature a dinner hosted by the Opportunity Calgary Investment Fund (OCIF), a $100 million fund dedicated to advancing Calgary's economic growth and diversification, in partnership with Plug and Play.
