About event

X26 and McKinsey's San Francisco office are bringing together founders, investors and McKinsey consultants who are seriously considering building a company of their own.

The evening centers on a panel of McKinsey alumni who now lead or invest in startups across AI, fintech, healthcare, and climate. They'll speak candidly about the decision to start their own company, which consulting skills carried over and which didn't, how they found their first customers and co-founders, and what investors look for when backing former consultants.

After the panel, there will be time to continue the conversation with the speakers and each other over drinks.

The session is designed for current and former McKinsey consultants thinking about founding, alongside a small group of founders, operators, and investors. Places are limited to around 40, and registration is approval-based. When you register, you'll be invited to submit a question for the panel. Speakers will be announced in the coming weeks.

X26 is a curated global community of 2,500+ McKinsey alumni who are founders, investors and operators, with a presence in San Francisco, New York, London and around the world.
