F1RST FR(IDA)Y: ep 2 🌹 roses & thorns 🥀

Sexual assault, violence, and harassment has been an urgent issue weighing on the hearts and minds of university students everywhere. As survivors and allies, we want to host an event that brings us together to support, empower, and grieve. Throughout the evening we invite folks to join a social sculpture build, and from a chainlink fence “trellis,” participants can “pluck” and “plant” origami flowers, every one holding a handwritten message in solidarity with our fellow survivors. We’ll also have cozy crafts and activities available: handbuilding pinch pots, printmaking, tiny heart cake decorating, and DIY sun catchers. Because it's getting chilly out there, we’ll offer snuggly treats and nibbles. For drinks, we’ll prepare a pot of warm mulled cider. To snack, we’ll have macarons (gluten free), mini pain au chocolat (vegetarian), and apple pie (vegan).
