SF Tech Week is packed with wellness events. Morning runs, yoga sessions, cold plunges, meditation, you name it. But where are the events for lifters?

For those who would rather start their morning under a barbell, welcome to the DON'T BE A FRANGO LIFTING CLUB: TECH WEEK EDITION.

What the hell is a Frango? In Brazil, frango means chicken. In gym slang, it's someone who's just going through the motions. Half reps. Phone between sets (sometimes during). The weight they know they can handle. They show up. They just aren't doing the work that matters.

The gym is one of the few honest rooms left. No one can do the work for you. Every rep, every excuse, every decision is yours. And so are the results you get. We believe that how you show up in the gym translates into how you show up at home, at work, and in life.

All of us can act a little frango sometimes. We all could use a push from each other to keep getting stronger and building the lives and companies we want. And the gym is the perfect setting for that. That's why we created this lifting club. To surround ourselves with people who push us to get stronger, think bigger, work smarter, and put our energy into what actually matters.

This isn't a pep talk session. No instructor. No guru. No kumbaya. Just iron, sweat, and people who won't let you be a frango.

We're taking the DON'T BE A FRANGO LIFTING CLUB on a tour of gyms across San Francisco during Tech Week, bringing together founders, builders, and investors who get that how you train is how you build.
