About event

Join us at Gallery 945 during LA Tech Week for an evening with artists working at the intersection of technology and creativity. Ed Freeman, whose hybrid works are on view, will open with a short keynote on his creative process and incorporation of generative image technologies. A panel of artists will follow, exploring the evolving relationship between artists and technology, from new tools and forms of expression to questions of authorship, originality, and cultural impact.

Speakers • Carlos Palmieri, Director, Gallery 945 (moderator) • Ed Freeman, artist blending photography, digital image-making, and generative tools • Akiko Yamashita, LA-based artist creating immersive light, projection, and real-time 3D installations • Breana Helders Mazzagatte, photographer known for intimate, honest portraiture

Enjoy mezcal tastings provided by Mezcal Los Fuertes, plus lite bites, as you take in the work, hear from a range of voices, and connect with others across LA's creative and tech communities.
