BASES x Altimeter Capital | Fireside Chat with Brad Gerstner

UPDATE: This event has been combined with Stanford AI Club’s Nikesh Arora event! Please register for the new joint event https://luma.com/6d8elbie. Previous registrations will not carry over. From early, long-term bets on Google, Facebook, OpenAI, Anthropic, and Nvidia to advancing legislation that gives every American kid a stake in the economy, Brad Gerstner has spent his career at the intersection of technology, investing, and public policy. As Founder and CEO of Altimeter, a leading technology investment firm, Brad has supported more than 100 companies through their IPOs and has twice been named to the Forbes Midas List. He is also a trusted voice in Washington on AI and American competitiveness. Brad is the Founder and architect of the Invest America Act, signed into law in July 2025 as part of the Reconciliation Bill. The act creates a lifetime investment account at birth for every child in America — known as Trump Accounts — seeded by the U.S. Treasury with $1,000 invested in the S&P 500. His moonshot nonprofit, the Center for Heart Attack Prevention, aims to cut heart attack deaths by 100,000 a year through widespread calcium CT scans. Brad co-hosts the BG2 podcast with Bill Gurley, is a frequent guest on the All-In podcast, appears regularly on CNBC, and shares his views on X at @altcap. Join BASES for a fireside chat with Brad exploring the future of AI, the next generation of technology companies, and what it takes to build and invest in transformative businesses. The conversation will be followed by an open Q&A, giving students the opportunity to hear directly from Brad and ask their own questions. Hosted by BASES in collaboration with Altimeter Capital.
