AI x Hardware Engineering Dinner Building Robust Data Pipelines for Physical Product Development About AI in hardware engineering is hard to execute well. Most teams stall in the same place: the data. We are bringing together a small group of Bay Area CAE engineers and hardware leaders to move past the hype and talk about the infrastructure that makes AI for physics actually work. Not model architecture. The data layer underneath it. Still treating simulation results like a pile of files? We will dig into the governance, lineage, and reusability frameworks that separate AI-curious teams from AI-enabled competitors. Ten seats. One table. No slides. What we will talk about Breaking the "File Server Trap": moving from fragile folder paths to queryable metadata. Escaping the "Data Janitor" work: when your best engineers spend their days reformatting instead of engineering. Scaling beyond proof-of-concept: pipelines that survive leaving a laptop. Capturing setup, results, and context together so data stays usable a year later. "Bad data" is rarely obvious. It is sneakier. Simulation results separated from their setup. History locked in closed formats. We will get specific about how that happens and what to do about it. Format Casual conversation over a good dinner, hosted by Simr. Capped at 10 people to keep the discussion high-signal and give everyone real time to talk. No product pitches or demos. Parking in the area is limited, so please allow 5-10 minutes to find a spot.
